I.V. Conscious Sedation
I.V. conscious sedation is offered in our office for the anxious patients. We are certified with the state of Pennsylvania and were trained at Montefiore Medical Center. We have offered i.v. sedation for the past 9 years and have done over 4500 cases safely and comfortably with all types of patients.
The drug we use is Versed. Small doses of the medication are administered through an i.v. to produce a state of relaxation. Local anesthetic is also utilized to numb the affected areas we are treating. This is a wonderful option for the anxious patient who tends to become stressed by dental procedures. This option reduces the fear and apprehension sometimes associated with these procedures.
Bone Grafting - Tissue Replacement
In some cases, for those patients who have experienced bone loss, Dr. Gradwell employs additional advanced dental procedures and materials that enable him to replace bone and soft tissue with grafted tissue provided through LifeNet, a fully certified tissue bank. As a result, our patients enjoy the benefits of safely and successfully regaining the hard and soft tissues needed for successful dental reconstruction.
